Housing Education workshops - CALS

Project Story

The Centre for Applied Legal Studies (CALS) hosted a series of workshops as part of its Housing Education Programme, run by members of the Basic Services team. The workshops form a main part of community advocacy work, and were designed as a means of engaging with and empowering the communities with housing and eviction matters. Over three weeks in August 2013, the workshop facilitators led discussions with participants on property law and housing rights, as well as the role of the courts and government structures in protecting these rights. The video was created as an accessible introduction to these discussions.
