AFRICAN DIASPORA FORUM
The African Diaspora Forum (ADF) is a registered Johannesburg-based non-profit organisation. Established in 2008 in response to the xenophobic attacks in South Africa, the ADF facilitates relationships between all Africans living in South Africa and promotes a Pan African forum for African residents of all nationalities. The ADF is engaged at a local level with community policing forums and street committees. The Forum challenges xenophobic statements and policies.
Migrant Rights Are Human Rights: Pan African Music Concert and Soccer Tournament, May 2011
Events were hosted in partnership with the Community Media for Development Productions. An advice desk manned by the International Organisation For Migration, Amnesty International and Sonke Justice Network dealt with xenophobia and health issues. 'Many Faces, One Africa' was the theme of the concert and soccer game, which brought together a diversity of representatives from 21 African countries.
